December 2023 Newsletter

Dear  Members,

Please find attached the exciting Programme of Workshops and Demonstrations for 2024 prepared by Dinah Kane. From February 2024 you will need to contact Dinah to book your workshops as she is taking over from Clive Wickenden  after the January portrait workshop.

The next demonstration will take place on the 6th of December. Unfortunately, Peter Keegan has had to cancel but Jo Harris will do a portrait instead. Bob Bryant, one of our members, has kindly offered to do the sitting for him. Demonstrations run from 11am to 1pm. Fee is £2 for members and £15 for non-members payable on the day.

Regarding the Christmas party taking place on Wednesday 13th December at Amersham Village Hall from 1pm (morning session as usual-The theme for the painting competition is ‘A Winters Day’ and must be started on the day itself). Please note that a list for food contributions will be on the Wednesday table. Drinks are provided by Beechwood.

Finally Brenda Liddiard, who used to be one of our regular members, has had to move to a nursing home due to her Alzheimer condition and, as her nephews are clearing her house, she would like her paintings to go to members who knew her and would like to have a painting of hers as a souvenir.
They are having an open house at her home on the 2nd of December from 11am to 3pm when interested members who knew her can choose a painting. It is at 9 Cherry Orchard, Amersham, HP6 6LE.
All of us in the Committee wish you a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kind regards
Cecile
Beechwood Secretary
